So, after my strawberry bars were a HUGE hit with the kids last week, I thought, “Why not try something with the cherries in the freezer?” But this time, I was smarter—no more sticky, messy hands (thanks, wooden sticks!).
Here's how it went down:
I mixed chopped cherries with some plain unsweetened almond yogurt, added a little golden maple syrup for sweetness, and then threw in some of my clean vanilla protein powder (optional) to make it extra awesome. Stirred it all together until it was perfectly combined, then poured little batches onto a lined tray. Stuck in the wooden sticks and sprinkled a few with roasted almonds for that crunch factor.
Pop those babies in the freezer for an hour (seriously, one hour—that’s the magic!), then dipped them in melted dairy-free chocolate (yes, please) and added a few more almonds and colorful sprinkles (the good kind, no weird dyes here!).
Back into the freezer they went. Boom.
What happened next was chaos—but the fun kind. Kids were literally fighting over which one to eat first. It was like the Hunger Games, but with popsicles. Total win. 🙌 10/10, would recommend! And guess what? I can eat these too, since they’re dairy-free and refined sugar-free! Double high five! 🖐️🖐️
Here’s the best part: you don’t need a ton of fancy ingredients. Just grab these:
Plant-based yogurt
Maple syrup
Chopped cherries (fresh or frozen)
Roasted sliced almonds & Sprinkles (optional, but seriously, who doesn’t love sprinkles?)
So be the cool mom this weekend and make your kids (and your husband) super happy. And hey, it’s a win for you too. Go ahead, try this—your freezer’s about to get a whole lot cooler. 😎
